Trail & Water Safety

  • Closed Footwear: Wear sturdy shoes on forest treks to prevent slips on wet granite rocks.
  • Reservoir Swimming: Only swim in designated natural river pools with your local guide. Reservoir sluice channels have strong undercurrents.
  • Leeches During Rain: Harmless but common in wet grass during monsoon breaks. Homestays provide anti-leech socks and natural salt balm.
